Wild Africa to Launch in Giant Screen Theaters December 2015

Key Art and Trailer Available Now

Giant Screen Films and BBC Earth are pleased to reveal the key art and theatrical trailer for Wild Africa, releasing worldwide this December.

Making its North American giant screen premiere this week at GSCA in San Francisco, Wild Africa takes audiences on a spectacular ride across, over, and through the magical realms of the most dramatic continent on earth. Water, the interconnecting force of this enchanted kingdom, serves as a guide, crafting wild Africa and conjuring up life wherever it journeys… travelling above the plains on seasonal winds, cascading along raging rivers or sheltering coral cities. Audiences will be plunged into fantastic places and meet amazing creatures, discovering the fascinating secrets of this incredible world. It’s an adventure where you will truly believe the real world is more extraordinary and awe-inspiring than any fiction.

Co-director and producer Neil Nightingale says "Our aim with Wild Africa was the most ambitious ever 3D wildlife photography for the giant screen, to transport audiences on a thrilling journey through Africa to discover how water shapes all life. To achieve this we had to design and build bespoke 3D rigs for almost every situation, and assemble a unique mix of talent, so we could film in the toughest wild locations, using a whole range of photographic techniques to put giant screen audiences right in the heart of some of the most awesome landscapes and dramatic wildlife on earth."

“The museum theater community has shown a tremendous amount of enthusiasm for Wild Africa,” said Don Kempf, President of Giant Screen Films. “Wild Africa was a massive hit at our theater event this past July and everyone was abuzz with the enormous potential this film has. It combines all of the elements of our most successful films into a single, compelling storyline, giving it broad commercial and educational appeal. I believe it will be an industry favorite for years to come.”
