Throughout America’s storied history, country music has been a part of the nation’s social and cultural fabric. This film traces American history and the parallel evolution of country music using rare historical footage, spectacular large-format cinematography, and many of today’s brightest country music stars.
Over 50 of country music’s biggest stars – from Alan Jackson to Dolly Parton to Dwight Yoakam – are spotlighted as together they perform the genre’s classics of the past 100 years. The canyons of Utah, the mountains of Appalachia, the deserts of California, and the legendary stage at the Grand Ole Opry are just a few of the magnificent settings for these performances, capturing the essence of the giant screen experience.
