NOW SHOWING – 40 minutes

Bold, proud, ambitious and unbound—the intriguing and legendary pioneers of the North Atlantic storm the giant screen in Vikings, a stunning journey to the pristine, rugged coasts of Greenland, Iceland and Newfoundland. An epic voyage through time, Vikings offers a comprehensive portrait of these vastly influential explorers.

Following the North Atlantic Sagas, viewers sail with Erik the Red from Iceland to Greenland and then with his son, Leif Eriksson, to North America, where he landed five hundred years before Columbus. Propelled by their wondrous ships, the Vikings stormed across Europe and the North Atlantic. Audiences experience their history and complex identity not only as warriors, slavers, and traders, but also as farmers, settlers, poets, loyal family members and skilled craftsmen in this fascinating adventure of discovery.

Vikings takes audiences on location to some of the most important historical Viking sites, including L’Anse aux Meadows, the site of Leif Eriksson’s settlement in Newfoundland and the Arni Magnusson Institute in Reykjavík, Iceland, where the North Atlantic Sagas—documents that preserved the Viking’s oral traditions—are on display. Breathtaking cinematography brings lost ages to life in Vikings, allowing audiences to see lands that are as pristine and beautiful today as they were during the Viking Age.
